“I, Hiru, hereby request your urgent support to save my son Shankar's life. As an only child, Shankar brought immense joy to our family. We were excited to become first time parents with lots of dreams for our adorable son. Unfortunately, within a few months of his birth, we noticed that he keeps unwell with high fevers and persistent coughs quite often. Concerned about his health, we have been following the treatment suggested by our regular Pediatrician and this went on till he completed his 1 year. But later, the prescribed medical plans did not impact his health. Then, as advised by our Doctor, we rushed him to a multi-facility hospital, where after performing all the suggested medical tests; it was revealed that he suffered from a rare type of blood disorder "Thalassemia Major." At that time, the only curative option for his survival was monthly blood transfusion, which we have been following very promptly so far. Unfortunately, during September'2022, Shankar faced certain serious complications, due to which, the doctors finally concluded that only a Bone marrow transplant treatment worth Rs. 35 lakhs approx will save his life. Sadly, being from an impoverished family background, we can't give our son this pain-free life due to our lack of funds.
