Mrs. Sangeeta Jain
“In 2021, at the age of 51, Mrs. Sangeeta Jain, a homemaker and single mother, began experiencing difficulty swallowing, persistent acidity, and throat discomfort. Initially mistaken for tonsillitis, her symptoms continued for nearly two months, accompanied by significant weight loss. Medical investigations and an endoscopy eventually revealed the heartbreaking diagnosis — Esophageal Cancer. With her son as the family’s only earning member, the diagnosis brought immense emotional and financial challenges. Yet, determined to save his mother, he stood by her through every difficult step. Sangeeta underwent a total esophagectomy, followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The journey was physically and emotionally demanding, but her courage never wavered. Today, Sangeeta is doing well and attending regular follow-ups, with her son continuing to be her strongest support. Her journey reminds us that behind every cancer survivor is a story of courage—and often, a family that refuses to give up. Today, in 2025, Rizwan is cancer-free and pursuing FYBSc, carrying a dream that reaches as high as the skyline. Blood tests showed elevated CRP and ESR levels, and after further investigations, she was diagnosed with Pre B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. For her family, the diagnosis was devastating. Her father, a tailor working in a small private shop, and her mother, a homemaker, faced the emotional and financial burden with unwavering determination. Every stitch her father sewed became a step toward saving his daughter's life, while her mother remained by Neha's side through every challenge. Neha underwent six cycles of chemotherapy with remarkable courage. Despite the pain and exhaustion, she never lost her smile. Supported by her family's love and determination, she completed her treatment successfully. Today, Neha is a proud cancer survivor and passed SSC with flying colours and pursuing science stream. It began with persistent itching and a yellowing of his eyes and skin—symptoms of Jaundice. At first, it seemed like a temporary illness. But as his condition worsened, medical tests, including MRI and blood investigations, revealed something far more serious—Periampullary Cancer. For him, it felt like life had suddenly paused—dreams fading under the weight of uncertainty. The cost of treatment, nearly 1,00,000, added to the burden. But in this darkest phase, one light never dimmed—his wife. She stood beside him with unwavering strength. Her support, her belief, and her love became his greatest source of courage. When he felt like giving up, she reminded him why he had to fight. Not only did she support him emotionally, but she also stepped out to work as a labourer, doing whatever she could to support the family With determination and hope, he began his treatment journey at Tata Memorial Hospital. He underwent a major surgery, followed by necessary medical care. The road to recovery was not easy—it demanded patience, strength, and faith. And he chose to keep going. Today, his story has taken a remarkable turn. Free from medication and no longer requiring follow-ups, he is living a healthy life once again. But more than that, he has rebuilt his world. Back in Malda, he has started his own fishing business—casting nets not just into the water, but into a future full of hope and independence. His journey is not just about surviving cancer—it is about love that stood firm in adversity, resilience that refused to break, and the courage to begin again. In the tides of life, when everything seemed lost, he found his way back—stronger, braver, and ready to live fully once more. ”

Her father, a dedicated courier delivery worker, made the ultimate sacrifice by leaving his job to become her full-time caregiver, mother is a housewife, ensuring she was never alone during her most difficult hours. Together, they navigated the grueling demands of chemotherapy and prolonged medical care, fueled by nothing but hope and a parent's unbreakable love. Now, in 2026, the storm has finally cleared, and 10-year-old Astha stands as a beacon of resilience.
