आर्थिकदृष्ट्या दुर्बल कर्करोग रुग्णांना मदत करण्यासाठी गेल्या २५ वर्षापासून कार्यरत राहणे प्रेरणादायी असल्याचे कौतुकोद्‌गार विविध मान्यवरांनी काढले. कॅन्सर एड अँड रिसर्च फाऊंडेशनचा २५ वा स्थापना दिन आणि रौप्यमहोत्सवी वर्षाचा सोहळा यशवंतराव चव्हाण केंद्र येथे साजरा करण्यात आला. गेल्या २५ वर्षापासून कर्करोगग्रस्तांच्या सेवेसाठी सातत्याने कार्यरत राहिलेल्या संस्थेच्या कार्याचे यावेळी मान्यवरांनी विशेष कौतुक केले. यावेळी प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून विधानसभेचे अध्यक्ष राहुल नार्वेकर उपस्थित होते. ज्येष्ठ अभिनेते व खासदार शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा ज्येष्ठ अभिनेत्री पूनम धिल्लो, राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे नजीब मुल्ला, प्रा. डॉ. रेहान काझी, शमसी मुल्ला, सविता नाथानी, रोहिदास लोखंडे, हर्षिता नार्वेकर, सुलतान शाह, डॉ. प्रसाद कसबेकर, एन. जावेद खान, डॉ. नादिर शाह, इरफान काझी, वसीम शेख, सीए आनंद जैन, रेणू जैन, दीपक श्रीवास्तव उपस्थित होते.

दीपप्रज्वलनाने कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात झाली. त्यानंतर संस्थेच्या २५ वर्षाच्या प्रवासाचा आढावा यावेळी घेण्यात आला.

1. कर्करोग जागृती, आरोग्य शिबिरे : उपस्थितांनी भाषणातून संस्थेच्या कार्याची प्रशंसा केली. आर्थिक अडचणींमुळे कोणत्याही रुग्णाचे उपचार थांबू नयेत, या संस्थेच्या ध्येयाचे अभिनंदन करण्यात आले. कर्करोग जनजागृती, आरोग्य शिबिरे, रुग्ण सहाय्य आणि विविध सामाजिक उपक्रमांद्वारे संस्थेने समाजात निर्माण केलेल्या सकारात्मक

2. प्रभावाचाही गौरव करण्यात आला : यावेळी संस्थेचे प्रायोजक, देणगीदार, 3 डॉक्टर, स्वयंसेवक आणि हितचिंतकांचा सत्कार करण्यात आला. गायिका वैशाली सामंत व युवा कर्करोग योद्ध्यांनी सादर केलेल्या 'इतनी शक्ती हमें देना दाता' या प्रार्थनेने उपस्थितांना भावूक केले. युवा कर्करोग विजेता आनंद सिंह यांच्या सादरीकरणालाही प्रतिसाद मिळाला.

Cancer Aid & Research Foun-dation (CARF) celebrated its Silver Jubilee and 25th Foun-dation Day at Y.B. Chavan Centre, Mumbai, marking 25 years of dedicated service to underprivileged cancer pa tients across India. Inspirational performances by Vaishali Samant, Anand Singh, and Navin Prabhakar added warmth, courage, and joy to the memorable occasion.

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF) is proud to announce that Mr. Shamshi Zahir Mulla, a respected businessman and the Chairman of Cancer Aid & Research Foundation, has been conferred with the Akhanda Bharat Gaurav Award, recognizing his remarkable contribution towards humanitarian service and social betterment. 

The grand felicitation ceremony was organized by Mumbai Global at the Elite Banquet Hall, Star Bazar, Andheri (W). The award was presented to Mr. Mulla by renowned film director Mr. Pehlaj Nihalani and internationally acclaimed actor Mr. J. Brandon Hill, known for his work in both Hollywood and Bollywood. 

The Akhanda Bharat Gaurav Award celebrates individuals whose dedication, compassion, and leadership have made a meaningful difference in society. Mr. Mulla’s relentless efforts through Cancer Aid & Research Foundation-providing financial aid for underprivileged cancer patients, organizing free health camps, and spreading cancer awareness - have touched countless lives and inspired many to contribute towards noble causes.

It showcased CARF’s impactful journey, achievements, and CSR partnerships, inspiring readers to join hands in saving lives and spreading hope.

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF), in association with J.J. Hospital Blood Bank, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ter-minus (C.S.M.T), Mumbai, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The camp was conducted with the support and guidance of CARF's Chairman Mr. Shamshi Z. Mulla and CEO Mrs, Savita Nathani, both of whom are deeply committed to serving the needs of cancer patients.

The camp aimed to address the critical shortage of blood required for cancer patients undergoing treatment. CARF has always been at the forefront of such humanitarian ini-tiatives, encouraging voluntary blood donation and spreading awareness about its life-saving importance. The event saw active participation from donors across the city, including daily commuters and volunteers, who came for-ward to contribute to this noble cause.

CARF extends heartfelt gratitude to J.J. Hospital Blood Bank, CSMT authorities, MD College NSS Volunteers and all the selfless donors who made the camp a great suc-cess.

कॅन्सर एड अँड रिसर्च सेंटर आणि जे. जे. रुग्णालय रक्तपेढी यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज टर्मिनस येथे ३० जून रोजी रक्तदान शिबीर आयोजित करण्यात आले होते. महर्षी दयानंद कॉलेजमधील एनएसएसच्या विद्यार्थी यावेळेस स्वयंसेवक म्हणून होते. या उपक्रमाला प्रवासी, स्वयंसेवक आणि नागरिकांचा मोठा प्रतिसाद लाभला 

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF), a beacon of hope in the fight against cancer, marked its 24th Foundation Day on June 20, 2025, with a heartfelt celebration at its Byculla office. The event was a touching tribute to two and a half decades of unwavering service to cancer patients and the underprivileged.

To commemorate the milestone, 20 cancer patients were provided with financial assistance cheques and ration kits, distributed with compassion by CARF Chairman Mr. Shamshi Mulla and CEO Mrs. Savita Nathani. This gesture reflects CARF’s continued commitment to providing both medical and humanitarian support to those in need.

The event concluded with a special lunch, bringing moments of warmth, dignity, and togetherness to the brave patients and their families.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shamshi Mulla shared,

“This 24-year journey has been built on the foundation of love, dedication, and the generous support of our donors and well-wishers. Our mission remains the same — to ensure no cancer patient is left helpless due to lack of funds.”

Mrs. Savita Nathani, CEO of CARF, added,

“It is a moment of pride to witness CARF completing 24 years of service. Every life we’ve touched and every smile we’ve brought back is a testament to our team’s hard work and the faith our supporters have placed in us. We shall continue to strive with the same spirit, compassion, and commitment for the welfare of cancer patients.”

कॅन्सर एड अ‍ॅण्ड रिसर्च फाउंडेशनच्या वर्धापनदिनानिमित्त भायखळा येथील कार्यालयात २० कर्करोगग्रस्तांना मदतीचे धनादेश व रेशन किटचे वाटप करण्यात आले. संस्थेचे अध्यक्ष शमशी मुल्ला व सीईओ सविता नाथानी यांच्या हस्ते हे वाटप झाले.

रुग्ण व त्यांच्या कुटुंबीयांकरिता जेवणाची व्यवस्था करण्यात आली आहे. रुग्णांना आर्थिक व मानसिक आधार मिळावा, यासाठी संस्था प्रयत्नशील आहे. मुल्ला म्हणाले, प्रेम, समर्पण व दानशूर व्यक्ती पाठीशी उभ्या राहिल्याने संस्थेचा २५ वर्षांचा प्रवास सुरू आहे. आर्थिक अडचणींमुळे कोणताही रुग्ण उपचारांपासून वंचित राहू नये, हे आपले उद्दिष्ट आहे, असे सविता नाथानी यांनी सांगितले.

मुंबई : वरळीच्या धमर्मादाय आयुक्त कार्यालयात कार्यरत १५० अधिकारी व कर्मचाऱ्यांची आरोग्य तपासणी करण्यात आली. या आरोग्य शिबिरात तीन महिलांना स्तनाच्या कर्करोगाची खात्री झाली आहे. यासोबतच इतर आजारांनी त्रस्त असलेल्यांना औषधेही देण्यात आली. कैंसर एड एंड रिसर्च फाउंडेशन यांच्या वतीने सर्वस्व हेल्थ सेंटर आणि ईशा नेत्रालय यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आयोजित शिबिराचे उद्घाटन धर्मादाय आयुक्त अमोध कलोती यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. सीएआरएफचे अध्यक्ष शमशी मुल्ला, सीईओ सविता नाथानी यांनी मोलाचे सहकार्य केले. शिबिरात डोळ्यांची तपासणी, तोंडाच्या कर्करोगाची तपासणी, पॅप स्मीअर, महिलांसाठी मॅमोग्राफी, सिस पुरुषांसाठी पीएसए चाचणी आणि सामान्य आरोग्य तपासणी करण्यात आली. उपस्थितांना औषधांचेही वाटप करण्यात आले.

The Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF), in collabo- ration with Sarvasva Health Centre and Isha Netralaya, successfully organized a com- prehensive medical camp at the Charity Commissioner Of- fice, Worli. The camp was inau- gurated by the Amogh Kaloti, Charity Commissioner of Ma- harashtra State. The camp provided essential health ser- vices, including eye checkups, oral cancer screenings, pap smears, mammography for women, PSA tests for men, and general health checkups, with free general medicines distributed to attendees. part of the programme, CARF's Chairman, Shamshi Mulla and CEO, Savita Nathani conducted a special felicitation ceremony, honoring the Charity Commissioner, Amogh Kapti, for his valuable support. The event highlighted CARF's ongoing commitment omoting health awareness and ensuring preventive healthcare reaches those in need.

मुंबई के वर्ली स्थिति चैरिटी कमिश्नर ऑफिस में सेवारत करीब १५० अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों का हेल्थ चेकअप किया गया। इस हेल्थ शिविर में तीन महिलाओं में ब्रेस्ट कैंसर की पुष्टि हुई है। इसी के साथ ही अन्य रोगों से पीड़ितों का दवाएं दी गईं। कैंसर एड एंड रिसर्च फाउंडेशन द्वारा सर्वस्व हेल्थ सेंटर और ईशा नेत्रालय के सहयोग से आयोजित इस चिकित्सा शिविर का उद्घाटन महाराष्ट्र राज्य के चैरिटी कमिश्नर अमोघ कलोटी द्वारा किया गया। इस शिविर में सबसे ज्यादा योगदान सीएआरएफ की चेयरमैन शम्शी मुल्ला और सीईओ सविता नाथानी का रहा। शिविर में आंखों की जांच, ओरल कैंसर स्क्रीनिंग, पैप स्मीयर, महिलाओं के लिए मैमोग्राफी, पुरुषों के लिए पीएसए परीक्षण और सामान्य स्वास्थ्य जांच की गई। इसी के साथ ही उपस्थित लोगों मुफ्त में सामान्य दवाएं भी वितरित की गईं।

Cancer Aid and Research Foundation (CARF) was established in the year 2001 and since then CARF in its 22 year journey has been dedicatedly serving underprivileged cancer patients and people suffering from other diseases. CARF has always been hosting various generous and encouraging activities for the people, this time also CARF organized a charitable event at its Byculla office on 7 October 2022 (Friday) - around 3.30 PM. In this event, the distribution of cheques and ration kits was done by at the hands of our Honorable Chairman Advisor – Prof. Dr. Rehan Kazi and we believe that, in this way we have been able to help the underprivileged families. Through such activities we try to help the underprivileged communities to meet their basic daily needs along with their medical treatment.

On 27th July’2022, CARF hosted a great memorable Charity Event for cancer patients at Byculla office. The Guest of Honour for this programme was renowned Indian Film Actor, Choreographer and Host - Mr. Jaaved Jaffrey, who graced this event by his presence. Our Chairman- Mr. Shamshi Mulla welcomed the Guest of Honour – Mr. Jaaved Jaffrey and every one attending this event. The event began with a speech from our Chairman, explaining about CARF, its progress and achievements, thanking all the donors, supporters and the management. Then, followed by a Vote of thanks by our CEO-Mrs. Savita Nathani, with a speech, explaining about the functioning of CARF and different humanitarian projects like “Mission Sahay” being handled by CARF. Further our Guest of Honour- Mr. Jaaved Jaffrey expressed his views through a wonderful Speech about the hardships faced by people in life, diagnosed with cancer and he appreciated the way, CARF has come ahead as a ray of hope, supporting them in their treatment and daily activities. Also, Mr. Jaaved Jaffrey ensured to be with CARF as a helping hand in the future journeys. Cheque and ration kits were distributed to all the under privileged cancer patients, who attended this event. This Charity Event was supported by M/s. Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainment Pvt Ltd & M/s. Lupin Ltd respectively. The event was a successful one as it promised immense happiness to many cancer patients and their families. We thank everyone for their presence, support and precious time for making this event a memorable one.

On the occasion of World Health Day, Which is celebrated annually, on 7th April, Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF) made the day special too by organizing free medical health check-up for the cancer patients and their families. The day commemorates the foundation of the World Health organization (WHO) in 1948 and the theme for 2022 was – “Our planet, our health.” The aim behind conducting this event was to facilitate the health care benefits and health awareness among them, which would lead to living a good, healthy life and overall well –bring. The event was also graced by our chairman – Mr. Shamshi Mulla and CEO-Mrs. Savita Nathani. CARF collective and relentless efforts in organizing this event benefited many poor and under-privileged people. CARF thanks everyone for their valued time and active participation in making this event a successful.

World Health day is celebrated on 7th April annually across the world to commemorate the founding of World Health organization (WHO) in the year 1948. The theme for World health day for this year 2022 is – “Our planet, our health.” On this great occasion, Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF) also supported the great theme, by organizing free medical health check up for the cancer patients and their families. The sacred aim behind conducting this event was to facilitate the health care benefits and health awareness among them which will help to lead a good healthy life and well being. The event was also graced by our chairman – Mr. Shamshi Mulla and CEO-Mrs. Savita Nathani. We are glad that our collective and relentless efforts in organizing this event benefited many of the poor and under-privileged people. Thanking everyone for their valued time and active participation in making this event a great one.

On 4th February’2022, Cancer Aid & Research Foundation organized several activities for all our Cancer patients on the occasion of World Cancer Day at our Vikhroli office that composed of raising awareness about cancer through our informative session, followed by screening movie, games, and lunch for children. Also, Happy meal kits were distributed among the children. This event was supported by our chairman – Mr. Shamshi Mulla and CEO-Mrs. Savita Nathani respectively. Our sole purpose behind conducting this event is showing our dedication and respect towards the brave cancer warriors, thus encouraging them in their fight to survival.

During the month of November 2021, Cancer Aid & Research foundation (CARF) organized several free medical health check up camps known as “Mission Sahay” at different locations with an initiative to facilitate the health care benefits and awareness among the under-privileged people. Out of which Mission Sahay-1 was organised on 05.11.2021 at Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar Colony, Ghatkopar East. Also, being this month celebrated as “Breast cancer awareness month” female hygiene kits were distributed to the female group during this camp. Then later followed by our free medical health camp - Mission Sahay –2, which was conducted on 15.11.2021 at Sant Ghadge Maharaj Dharamshala (Dadar)
