“My name is Ranjit . It is my humble plead to the people reading my appeal to support my regaining hope in getting my son – Swaraj a desired treatment to recover his illness. Remembering the joyful memories of our life, when Swaraj was born, right from watching him smile, crawl, walk first time, speak, play and then to go nursery were the imperishable moments of our life. Like every parent, my only dream was giving my all three kids a better life. I did not compromise on whatever they asked us. Everything went well and smooth in our lives, till my son began falling sick frequently after falling down from the stairs. It started with symptoms like swelling over his knees followed by unexplained fever, body pain, nausea and weakness which were unusual. Then we took him to our local doctor, who advised us for an X-ray, in which after ruling out certain points, we also underwent MRI Scan followed by Biopsy. Reports have revealed that Swaraj has a type of bone cancer "Ewing Sarcoma," for which the only cure is Chemotherapy and Surgery worth a massive sum of Rs. 5 lakhs approx. I dropped to my knees, my head reeling on hearing the diagnosis. Basically, we are from Buldana district and there I worked as an Auto-driver. Currently, due to Swaraj's medical emergency, we are staying in Mumbai at the hospital premises. I feel destined to pain and heartache watching my little son struggling to survive. Sadly by now, this disease has damaged his one leg, making him unable to do the simplest tasks; he suffers a large amount of pain every day. I have worked hard for everything but hailing from a marginalized family, I cannot afford this treatment cost. Please help us save our son with your kind support us through Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF).”
